Holiday Cheer: Ice Skating

By  |

Not too many things scream holiday tradition quite like images of the ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center, but luckily you don’t have to travel that far to enjoy some festive fun.

Loads of seasonal skating rinks have opened all over the country and we’ve been dying to lace up and do a few laps. Last weekend we checked out The Ice Rink at The Cosmopolitan and had a blast.

The rink is small, but wasn’t too crowded to try out a triple axle or two. It’s lined with cozy fire pits where you can order s’mores and specialty cocktails, and there’s a gorgeous view of the city to boot.

We hear that skating can burn up to 150 calories in 30 minutes, so bonus points for working off that pre-rink Hot Toddy we sipped to get in the mood!

If you can’t make it to New York City, ’tis the season to enjoy spiked cocoa by the fire(pit) on the Las Vegas Strip.

Skating pass: $15
